Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. She is best known for her starring role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson on the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's singles (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), teacher and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick claims to be Jewish and says she is a member of Passover seders.
